We had a terrific stay here earlier this year. Glad to see it looking so great... we were worried after the storm. Hope to get back soon!

We were not only worried about this beautiful new strucuture, but mostly about those sweet people who worked there and made our stay so enjoyable. Also, we were concerned about the nice people in the town surrounding the resort. We shopped there every day. We are overjoyed to hear that they still have their lives and livlihood.

We just returned from the Royal Porto Real. The hotel is in fine shape from the hurricane. One major problem though, they are getting ready for high season and there is lots of pounding and painting going on. Wish we would have been told of this before the trip. Avoid staying in the 1st floor rooms, they seem to be experiencing some problems with sewer gases coming in the rooms, they will put you in the lst floor rooms and you have to be moved to a new room.
Not much activity, town is very quiet yet, by 10PM most businesses are closed.
